Safari Scam Popup Won't Close? Use Shift When You Reopen

A fake virus page trapped Safari so hard you could not quit · you are not alone. This is a browser trap · not proof macOS is infected.
Force quit Safari · hold Shift while reopening to skip restore · clear the offending tab. Do not call the number on screen.
When calm returns · send the scout on your Mac · notification scams if alerts keep returning.
First · escape the trap
Apple menu → Force Quit → Safari. If the machine is frozen, hold the power button until it powers off · then boot normally.
Reopen without the nightmare tab
Hold the Shift key · launch Safari again. Shift tells Safari not to restore the previous session tabs.
Then on your Mac
